Starting along the banks of the river East Allen we follow Isaac’s Tea Trail before turning off to Hawksteel and three new gates, soon to be followed by the new bridge over Rude Cleugh, all recently installed by NCC. We continue along bridleways and footpaths, though woodland and fields and return to Allendale along quiet minor roads.

For informal car share to the start of the walk, please contact the walk leader and meet at the Wentworth car park (white bays) in Hexham.
Please meet near the post office in Allendale Town Market Square. Car sharing is recommended.
