Overview

Our walk takes us through Amport village, past Amport House , and we continue beyond the woods towards Quarley. We return via Hay Down to the village and the pub. There are beautiful gardens to see and rolling hills across open countryside. This is an easy walk on flat ground and no stiles.

Amport is just off the A303 near the Hawk Conservancy. If you are travelling from Winchester you leave the A34 and take the A303 westbound. The signs to Thruxton and Amport will be on your left 2-3 miles beyond the Andover exits.

IMPORTANT

Do not drive to Amport via Monxton village as the road is closed for 8 days. The Amport turning on the A303 is a mile after the Weyhill Services. At the end of the lane turn left and the pub is on the left.
