We are the Tavistock Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A 10 mile on and off moorland walk starting from Belstone out along the Cleave to Sticklepath and South Zeal, then up Ramsley Hill followed by a climb to the triple stone row on the side of Cosdon Hill. Up and over Cosdon before following the river valley back to Belstone. The route follows parts of The Archangel Way long distance pilgrimage route between Belstone and Chagford.
Woodland and riverside paths, ancient tracks and ways, moorland ascents and descents. Visiting churches, villages, industrial archaeology, prehistoric monuments and settlements with terrific views along the way. Walk leader will be at Belstone. Booking required by text to walk leader.
Car sharing from Pixon Lane may be available but this is not guaranteed and you may still have to drive to the Walk Start. Walk Leader will not be at Pixon Lane, Drive on to car park at Belstone Cricket Field, SX622942. Open specially for TAW celebration day.
