After crossing the Grosmont road, the route continues S on the moor's edge, across Lythe Beck to Greenlands Farm and Arundel Hill. We then walk ESE along the line of the Whinstone Ridge quarries to Sil Howe on the Goathland road, across the A169 and past standing stones. Turning N, we follow tracks, with  views of the coast and Whitby, back to the car park, past the Seven Standing Stones.
