We are the Cleveland Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

From the beacon we will walk south west along a minor road before turning north on a wide bridleway. We follow this route to Clitherbeck farm, allowing good views into the valley. After joining the main Danby road for a short time we turn south on to Lord's Turnpike and gradually walk down towards Danby. We turn east and follow tracks parallel with the road before descending towards Danby Lodge for our break.
From the lodge we walk south east along the road and then cross 2 fields up to Park House and take a rough track uphill at Oakley Side. We join a short tarmac road before turning north east on the minor road back to the car park.
Free range sheep and chickens noted on the walk. There were sheep in the 2 fields crossed, no cattle or horses,

There will be a ten minute break at Danby Lodge. Please feel free to bring a drink/snack to enjoy. Assistance dogs only.
Public toilets available at the lodge.
