Moderate-paced 10 mile linear walk with many drop-out points.
A varied walk along formér railway line. Gravel, asphalt and paved paths, mostly level terrain.
Route: through Finsbury and Clissold Parks, AbneyPark Cemetery, Stamford Hill, Springfield and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Parks, River Lea, Lee Canal and Hackney Marshes.
Food: Picnic lunch and cafés at ‘Here East’ before the Olympic Park. Tea at Westfield Stratford.
Meet at Highgate Station (Zone 3) at 10.00 (top of the escalators inside the station).
Travel: Northern Line - High Barnet branch.
Ticket/Fare: Oyster/Contactless/Freedom Pass.
Finish: Stratford Station (Zone 2/3 - Central/Jubilee/Mildmay/Elizabeth lines & DLR).
