Overview

From Chalfont & Latimer station southbound exit, we head towards Westwood Park to Stony Wood and Chenies. After crossing the Amersham Road, the Chiltern Way takes us to Hasley's Wood and Carpenter's Wood. Then Old Shire Lane into Philipshill Wood (a significant historical site within the Chiltern Hills AONB). Continuing on the Chiltern Way we arrive at Chalfont St Giles for lunch. For drinks and snacks, there is a bakery, cafes and a pub. There are also public toilets. After lunch we will take the South Bucks Way towards Harewood Golf Course to enter Pollards Wood. We will arrive back at the station via Finch Lane and White Lion Road.

Please bring a picnic.

Recommended travel: Chiltern Trains depart Marylebone 9.56, Harrow on the Hill 10.09, arrive C&L 10.28.

OR Met line depart Harrow on the Hill 9.55/10.10, arrive C&L 10.20/10.37.
