About 4 hours actual walking - possible drop-out halfway at lunch stop.
Route: A248 west to footpath N into Tillingbourne Valley, E to pick up Downs Link to cross A248 and railway line, footpaths SE to Postford Farm Cottages and Ford Farm, lane S into Blackheath Forest, W and NW through forest and heath to lane N to Chilworth, lunch, A248 west to footpath N into Tillingbourne Valley, E to Postford Pond/Albury Mill, N and NW through Colyers Hanger up onto St. Martha's Hill, W along NDW to Halfpenny Lane, NW along bridleway down and up to Pewley Down, lane NW down to Guildford Castle and into town centre.
Lunch: The Percy Arms in Chilworth (7.1 km) https://www.thepercyarms.net/ (or bring a picnic).
Dropout: Chilworth before/after lunch (two-hourly service only though, to Guildford or Redhill).
Meet at Chilworth station at 11.07.

Finish: Guildford station - fast trains every 15 mins.
