This walk starts on Market Square at the Lions, and goes through the Nottingham Cemetery, across to the Arboretum, then on to Sneinton to Green's Windmill. Interesting aspects of history can be seen along the route including seeing the birthplace of William Booth, who started the Salvation Army. We will have a break at the Arboretum and lunch near the Windmill, then come back through the Avenues which is now the Creative Quarter.
The windmill is having its wooden sails replaced so you will not be able to go inside it for 12 months, but the science centre and the garden will be open.
There will be toilets at the Windmill, and you can buy a drink there. As we come back through town people can also use the toilets in the Victoria shopping Centre.
If you want to join the walk, please email the leader on the link shown.
Please bring a packed lunch and a drink. Please note the 10 30 a.m. start
