We are the Rushcliffe Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is a level walk of 5miles length.
We start from the Poppy and Pint car park. We join the tow path of the old Grantham Canal. Until we cross part of the A52 then continue the tow path until Morrison’s where there are seats to have a coffee break. We follow the other side of the canal. Some road walking takes us to the Hook; we follow the river Trent path where there is a diversion due to the installation of the new foot and cycle bridge. Finally we follow the canal tow path back to the Poppy and Pint, where we can enjoy a pub lunch.
If you intend to stop for the pub lunch please say when booking. Please arrive early (10:15) so we can place our orders before we set off.
