We are the North East London Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

Rial Cafe is opposite the main entrance to West Ham Station. There are no toilets in the cafe or nearby and all public toilets along the route are usually closed, though there are good bush opportunities. At the end it is possible to access toilets in the UEL campus.
After coffee the optional walk takes us across playing fields to reach the Greenway. In 1 mile there is a drop-out option for buses to Canning Town, Stratford or East Ham stations and soon after there is a 276 stop (buses to Hackney and Stoke Newington). There are other drop-out options along the route, with buses to Tube and DLR stations.
After 2½ miles we turn off the Greenway and cross the Newham Way by bridge. We then walk through a series of attractive parks , including a lake an woodland ares. At Cyprus DLR (5 miles) we can catch a train to Tower Gateway or Stratford.
We meet for coffee by 10.45 am and the walk will start at about 11.00 am.
The walk will be in Oyster Zones 2&3.
Bring a packed lunch if you plan to walk beyond the Greenway. Walking shoes are fine and sunglasses would also be useful if it's a sunny day.
