All are welcome to join us on this walk, which will be predominantly through fields, along the river and through woodlands - and quiet once we get away from the A10.
We will start by walking through the church yard of St Mary’s, currently under renovation. After that we will go across the fields (note: one of them was very muddy when I walked through in December), taking a detour to cross underneath the A10, then on to Badger’s Eye Plantation, Plashes Farm and Hanging Wood, crossing a ford over the River Rib, taking a loop out to Bartram’s Wood, then into the village of Latchford, crossing Latchford ford, alongside the River Rib for a while, through Plashes Wood and recrossing our path at Plashes Farm before descending through the woods back to Collier’s End.
During the walk we could see Skylarks, Jackdaws, Egrets, Wrens, Robins and Red Kites.
