We will walk from the new car park off Panshanger Lane north west towards Archers Green, crossing the B1000. This is a busy road and we are alongside it for about 200m, but on one side there is a layby and immediately on the other a wide verge. After crossing the Mimram, there is a gentle ascent towards Tewin, before which we turn right towards Marden Hill House. Going round this we continue north then turn right again onto the Chain Walk eastwards. After recrossing the B1000, we cut down to Thieves Lane car park and enter Panshanger Park. Our route takes us past the lakes, the abandoned cottage, the old Orangery and the Great Oak. We then head back to our car park.
There is a coffee and refreshments van in our car park, as well as toilets. Please be aware of some significant potholes just after turning off Panshanger Lane onto the track leading to the car park. The parking fee for 1-4 hours is £2.50. it maybe possible to find places to park on Panshanger Lane.
