A 7.6 mile walk starting from the main exit of Coulsdon South station (off platform 1) climbing on good footpaths Cane Hill and Chipstead, then into countryside for Porters Wood, Longfield Plantation and Chipstead Bottom to Ramblers Rest (Pub/picnic). After lunch, continuing through Banstead Wood, Park Downs and Soloms Court to Chipstead Station.
Those wishing to eat at The Ramblers Rest must contact the leader (preferably by text) by 18:00 Tuesday 7th April.
From The Ramblers Rest a good 0.5 mile flat path goes to Chipstead Station. Approximately 0.5 mile before the end of the walk, the route passes a 166 bus stop, with 3 buses per hour to Banstead, with 1 continuing to Epsom for an alternative journey back.
East Croydon Station, platform 6 to catch 10:17 Thameslink service to Coulsdon South
Coulsdon South Station, leave by main exit from Platform 1 (London bound). Meet leader beyond barrier.
