A linear walk from Worcester Park to South Wimbledon, approx 5.5 miles, taking in many green spaces, including the Hamptons wet lands, Joseph Hood Memorial Playing Fields, Derwent Road Flood Wash, Cannon Hill Common and recreation ground, John Innes Park, finishing at Nelson Gardens. We will be pausing at historical sites and details such as the 'arts and crafts' architecture of John Innes Park, the story of John Innes and the beautiful St. Mary's Church and where Nelson and Emma Hamilton worshipped and filming took place for 'Four Weddings and a Funeral'. The church has an interesting and extensive graveyard. No cafe on route, please bring your own refreshments. There are toilets in the NE Surrey Crematorium Grounds.
