Overview

An easy circular walk of some 7.5 miles from Great Dunmow that will take us along the "Dunmow Cutting" part of the Flitch Way towards Little Canfield and back via Little Easton. The route is largely flat, with no stiles and on mostly good surfaces, although some mud should be expected at this time of year. Upon our return, walkers will have the option of a pub lunch at the Angel & Harp, a short walk away from the start/end point of our walk.

Note: For those preferring a slightly shorter walk there's the option of an easy, self-guided shortcut from the Dunmow Cutting to Little Easton, reducing the overall length of the walk to approx. 5.5 - 6 miles. At Little Easton, Ramblers could visit the tea room or the lovely church before re-uniting with the main group. The walk leader may decide to use the shortcut for the whole group in inclement weather conditions.
