Join Heather and Harriet on a winter wander via Haverley Lodge, Whinney Hill and Lamb Shield, ending in the churchyard where you can view the window that the locals installed to ward off the evil eye . . . and see if you can find the tombstone of the last witch!
A combination of open moorland, some indistinct paths and unfenced roads.

Take the right fork as you come into the village, with the back of the Derwent Arms pub on your left. This is the B6306 heading towards the Derwent reservoir and Blanchland. Park at the side of the road.
