Meet Point: Near the ticket barriers, or on the platform at Piccadilly Station. Alternatively, meet the group on the train, or at the Walk Start at Godley Station.

Transport to Walk Start: 09:33 train from Manchester Piccadilly to Godley.

Suggested Ticket: Off-Peak Day Return to Godley.

Walk Start: At Godley Station at 9:50

Waypoints: Godley Turntable, Godley Hill War Memorial, Longlands, Higher Matley Hall, Minature Castle Farm, Lower Roe Cross, L.S. Lowry's House, Mottram Church, Hill End, Hodgefold, Botham's Hall, Back Wood, Apple Street, Idle Hill, Pipers Clough, Hyde War Memorial, Green Lane, Godley Green.

Extra: There are no toilets at Godley Station. Assume no toilet on the train. There are no toilets on the walk. Optional drinks at the end of the walk (Sportsman, Hyde). Please do not bring your dog (apart from assistance dogs).

Starting and Finishing at Godley station, we'll head up towards Matley,  and then to Mottram Church via Roe Cross (avoiding the road works). We'll then skirt Broadbottom and drop down to the Etherow Valley, ancient boundary between Cheshire's teapot handle and the wild lands of Derbyshire, before returning over Werneth Low and back down Green Lane to the Godley area. Some can proceed to Godley station. Others can sample the real ales,  Cuban vibe at the Sportsman, and meet up with people from the shorter walk. ¡Viva la Revolución! ;-)
