This leisurely 5.5mile walk takes us down the Hambleden Valley through grassy fields to Mill End. Here we carefully walk a short distance along the busy A4155 road (no pavement) to Ferry Lane. We pass Hambleden Place and enter fields bordering the river Thames. We walk along this beautiful stretch of the river to Medmenham Ferry where we turn up (another!) Ferry Lane. We pass through the pretty Medmenham village to the church at the end of the lane. Once again we walk a short stretch of the busy A4155 road (with a pavement this time) until we cross and head up into the woodland at Killdown Bank (steepish ascent). Then through a series of fields and woodland we make the slow descent back to Hambleden.
