Afternoon Challenge Walk (10km - 2 hours 15 minutes - Brisk pace - Strenuous)
Our shorter but equally demanding afternoon challenge offers a 10km test against the clock, with 2 hours 15 minutes to complete the route and approximately 300 meters of ascent over three challenging hills.
The Route: Departing Lane End, we head down Fingest Lane before tackling our first climb through the peaceful Mouseall Wood. The route then descends toward Fingest via Fingest Wood, offering glimpses of the village below.
The notorious Hanger Wood Hill awaits - our most challenging ascent of the afternoon. After conquering this formidable climb, we descend back to Fingest Lane before facing the final test: a sustained ascent back to Lane End.
Both walks promise stunning Chiltern countryside views, historical landmarks, and the satisfaction of completing a true walking challenge. Suitable for experienced walkers seeking to test their pace and endurance.
