From Caberston Road, we cross a bridge over the river Tweed (keep on the bridge path provided) and continue to walk along a minor road until we turn off at Glenbenna. After this we enter along a forest track which is a steady ascent until we reach Minch Moor where we will stop for lunch. The track is quite steep coming down from Minch Moor.
We then take a forest track which leads back to Walkerburn via Plora Craig. There are severe grade mountain bike trails along a section of this track.
Terrain is mainly on forest tracks; there is a short section on minor roads.
There is a café called the Caberston Farm Coffee House in Walkerburn if people would like a drink etc at the end of the walk. It is open until 4pm.
Circular walk, grade B+, strenuous. Hiking boots and poles are recommended.
