From the start walk 0.8 miles to The Wattenden Arms for coffee. After coffee walk around Kenley Airfield and then onto the Fox for pub lunch or picnic.
After lunch, walk through Happy Valley and across Farthing Down to finish the walk at Coulsdon South Station.
On the return journey, I estimate that we should be back at Carshalton about 4.15pm.
Text by 1pm on Monday 26th to book for pub lunch.
I will be catching the 127 bus from Carshalton Station. A connecting train leaves Sutton at 10.12. At Carshalton Station, turn left from the station to North Street and cross the road to the bus stop. The 127 bus runs every ten minutes. If you are on a different bus from me, leave the bus at the Purley Station/Purley High Street stop which is the stop after Purley Cross.
From the bus stop walk back along the road for a short distance and use the underpass to Tesco (you can't miss it) and the 466 bus stop. On the day if you are running late and worried about making the 466 bus send me a text or call. There are toilets in Tesco at Purley where we will be catching the 466 bus no earlier than 11.05.
