Oswestry Ramblers welcome people who enjoy walking and the countryside. We walk twice a week mainly in Shropshire and Wales and help improve local footpaths.

This walk is a blend of a number of previous Oswestry Rambler walks starting from the Dolphin Pub car park, Llanymynech. The walk route will follow canal tow paths, country lanes, fields and a small number of inclines. From Llanymynech the route heads over to Crickheath where there is a new section of tow path to walk. The route will then head up towards Llanymynech Hill, then take a downward section along Offa's Dyke before returning to The Dolphin Pub via Carreghofa. The incline sections will be appropriately paced to accommodate walkers' needs and the weather. Walking poles are recommended particularly for the Offa's Dyke section which can be slippy in both dry and wet conditions. There are a small number of styles along the route.
As the final recce for the walk will be undertaken in the week prior to the actual walk date, please check the final walk details on the website by Tuesday 18 November 2025, in case there are any changes to the parking arrangements and walk description.
Walkers should bring food and drink for two breaks on the walk.
