Overview

A circular walk that starts in Marlborough and ascends southwards to Martinsell Hill (on the ridge separating the Kennet valley from the Pewsey Vale). We then follow the ridge to just before Oare Hill when we drop down northwards to West Woods and follow the Wansdyke through the trees. A last ascent up to the hill overlooking Marlborough (great views of the town) and then a drop back to the start. Lots of opportunities for afternoon tea and cake at the end; and a great bookshop!  Two stops – brief coffee stop and a packed lunch stop. Tea and cake option at end!
