We are the West Wiltshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
After leaving the car park we head up to the top of Portland via a tramway. We then skirt around the prison before heading to Portland Heights Hotel for a much needed bacon butty and coffee.
After coffee we go through Touts Quarry sculpture park, heading out to the Western side of Portland and walking down to the lighthouse at Portland Bill, where we lunch.
We then head up the Eastern side of Portland to Church Ope Cove before heading up to The Jailhouse Diner for afternoon tea and coffee.
Being refreshed, we head up to the high angle battery, then past Fancy's Farm. We then descend down to Fortuneswell and back to the car park.
This is a hilly walk with a small amount of scrambling over rocks. Please be aware, this is a two cafe walk.
