Join Roger (creator of Isaac's Tea Trail) in this special walk around the Upper Nent Valley with a visit to the Lovelady Shield Hotel, a Georgian country house hotel on the banks of the river Nent.
Nenthead is the ancestral home of the family of Isaac Holden, the Victorian grocer who inspired the route of the tea trail. There is no shortage of interest on almost every step of the way so be prepared to be surprised and amazed. Also, you'll have the chance to catch up on the success of the 'spiling' work done by Hexham Ramblers' footpath maintenance group to save the riverside footpath from erosion.
