We are the Northallerton Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Lovely views of Nidderdale on good tracks.
Starting from How Stein car park we follow the lane up a short incline to join the Nidderdale Way. This bridleway is half way up on the south side of the valley and we take this route to Ramsgill for coffee.
We climb up to Fountains Earth Moor and follow the Six Dales Trail back towards Lofthouse and then back to How Stein Gorge for our after walk refreshments.

One steep descent, where if muddy, sticks are required.
Most of this walk is on bridleways with just a few muddy bits.
2 stiles only of excellent quality but quite a number of gates.
