Overview

Walk from Okehampton Station down to Simmons Park, then around Ball Hill, then Westlake and Tor Down to our coffee stop by the footbridge over the river in Halstock Wood. Continuing then to Lower Halstock, East Hill and down to the river again, before returning to Okehampton Station through Tramlines Wood.

Mainly woodland, moorland and field paths and tracks and a couple of very short sections of minor road. A few ups and downs and expect some muddy sections!!

Bring a drink for our mid-morning coffee stop. Dogs welcome. Cafes and toilets by our car park. Estimated finish time 1.00pm.

From Okehampton town centre, go up the hill towards the railway station, ignore the station turning at the top, but go under the railway bridge and then immediately take the first left turn into our carpark.
