Overview

This is a super walk on open moors, mostly on tracks and paths.

Starting from the carpark below Sharpitor we head off for the old railway line track which we follow towards King's Tor.  Just before King's Tor we head towards Princetown, crossing the road to take a path up Hart Tor.  From there we follow a path down to Black Tor falls and then walk briefly beside the Devonport Leat.  At the plantation we head back to the carpark.

The only potentially tricky part is crossing the Meavy near its source above Black Tor falls as it gets boggy after heavy rain.  There are some hills but none of them are especially steep.

Bring a packed lunch and something for a coffee break.

Please book by text to walk leaders.
