Walking through the Prince Hall estate we enter an open, rather desolate stretch of moor but with the West Dart dancing to accompany us initially. Eventually we pass through the two hamlets of Sherberton and Hexworthy on little used tracks and roads. We cross Hexworthy bridge and make for the bridge at Dartmeet over field and ancient lane. Retracing our steps we make our back to the moor and head west crossing the Swinnacombe on a wooden bridge, visit an interesting ruined farmhouse and then open moor back to Prince Hall crossing the Cherrybrook on route.
This is a lovely walk with open moorland but always on tracks. Likely to be more wet than muddy.
