We are the Northallerton Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Route follows the river Tees northern banks(Teesdale Way) to Gainford and onto Winston (Spitfire ) bridge, returning via south side of the Tees. All on paths, farm tracks and tarmac surfaces. The route is generally flat with a few short climbs and steps, one stile. If it is very wet some paths will be muddy and a couple of fields will be boggy near the gates, but overall the going is easy walking.

Start place is in car park for Roman Bridge at Piercebridge, to the south of Piercebridge, enterred via gate immediately to the east of The George Hotel. (Not the Roman Fort car park to the north end of Piercebridge)
