Join me on an easy, mud free and stile free walk through post-industrial Radstock, Midsomer Norton and Welton, following the gently graded track bed of the former GWR from the site of Radstock (GWR) station past the museum and under five arch bridge all the way to the site of the Midsomer Norton and Welton station. From here we will take to the streets before climbing up through a woodland park to the S&DJR Midsomer Norton South station, which is now home to a Heritage railway. We return to five arch bridge along the S&D railway path before returning to the start/finish more or less the way we came. Most of this walk is on paved paths/cyclepaths and pavements. The walk passes several colliery batches (spoil heaps) which are a legacy of the area’s coal mining past but are now a wildlife haven. Bring snack.
Please note: the Finish Time is an estimate and may vary.
