Starting at the Ruddington Arms, we walk through Ruddington round the Country Park to enter from the south. We will then enter the Park curving round the outer edge until we come to the coffee stop; which is 2.6 miles from the start of the walk.
We now walk round the Lake and flower meadow going north west, then following the old railway, then we turn east to come to Manor Park and finally to the Ruddington Arms for a well-earned lunch.
The terrain is flat and we walk on good paths or pavements. If the weather is windy or wet, the trees of the Park give protection.
The pace will be leisurely.
If you would like to join this walk please contact the Leader using the email link. Please arrive at 9.45am for a prompt start at 10am. We will need to pre-order food and we will forward the lunch menu for you to choose your meal when you book. Please let us know if you intend to stay for the pub lunch by the Tuesday before the walk. The Ruddington Arms needs to know numbers.
We park at the pub above; toilets will not be available as the pub will not be open at 10am. There are 2 sets of toilets in the Park.
It is about 10 mins drive from West Bridgford.
The 10 is the main bus (takes 29 minutes from WB) to Balmoral Avenue with a 10-minute walk to the pub.
