Overview

We will walk through the village of Stanstead Abbotts, crossing over the River Lea. Heading up Chapel Lane we will reach cross field paths, which will hopefully offer us views over London, weather permitting.  We will pass below Little Briggens before joining The Harcamlow Way for a short distance. By Young Wood we will join The Hertfordshire Way before turning to walk through Easneye Wood, passing the attractive estate cottages.  Walking beside the Ash River and along the old St. Margaret’s to Buntingford railway line we will reach The River Lea. Using the towpath we will return to Stanstead Abbotts
