Moderate, undulating, 9.5 mile linear walk to Cross in Hand.
Drop outs: taxi from Waldron (6 milesl or 29A bus to Uckfield from Gun Road, Black Boys (3.5 miles).
Route: Uckfield - Great Streele - Blackboys - Dower House Farm - Waldron - Roser's Cross - Cross in Hand.
Lunch Stop: Waldron (after 6.5 miles) - pub lunch at The Star Inn or picnic .nearby.
Meet at Uckfield Station at 10.25.
Travel: Victoria 09.02/Clapham Junction -09.06/East Croydon 09.18 - Brighton service - changing at East Croydon for the 09:23 Uckfield service arr 10:23.. Check trains the day before.
Ticket/Fare: Buy Off-Peak Day Return to Uckfield (Freedom Pass - buy from East Croydon) plus single from Tunbridge Wells to Edenbridge.
Finish: Cross in Hand for hourly 51 bus to Tunbridge Wells for return travel to London.
