Overview

Please note change of leader -  this walk was to be led by Ian Gasper, but he is unable to walk due to a foot injury

From Meldon we follow the West Okement River and Two Castles trail to Okehampton. Return along the Tarka Trail by the East Okement River and Moor Brook up to East Hill and Black Down. We then descend to the Red-a-Venn Brook and Meldon.

This is a varied, attractive walk through woods, rivers and open terrain, and a couple of interesting historical elements. Uphills from Okehampton, rough and uneven paths along the rivers. Muddy!
