This walk will be led by Jonathan Swain. This is a circular walk from Wayrhamdale Car Park with fine views across the Wolds through woodland and including field edge, some road walking and several ascents. It will be locally graded moderate plus - approx 1700 ft ascent.
Starting from Wayrhamdale Car Park and Picnic Site, we head SE to the top of Deepdale before heading back N and taking care when crossing the busy A166 towards Kirby Underdale and Uncleby. At Woodley Farm we will begin the main ascent through Open Dale before stopping for lunch to be rewarded by magnificent views down the valley. After lunch we head E to Thixendale before picking up the Wolds Way and continuing S along Wayrhamdale and back to the cars.
No dogs except assistance dogs, with the consent of the walk leader please.
