We walk through a meadow with lovely views, and up to the Ridgeway Path, then pass The Crong to Bittams Wood in Dancers End Nature Reserve and through the reserve where there will be orchids. We then amble along some pleasant paths and quiet roads then back along the Ridgeway, and back to The Hale. There are some moderate hills. It is a lovely route, especially if we get some evening sunshine, which would also be good for photographs. There could be docile cows on part of the route.
All are welcome to get a takeaway when we are back in Wendover. (Suggest from the George & Dragon for Thai Cuisine) https://georgeanddragonwendover.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Take-Away-Menu.pdf
or: for alternative options: https://wendovergrillandkebabs.co.uk/
(Or alternatively, you could bring your own packed meal).
Well behaved dogs allowed. Need to be on lead in reserve and well managed when we are eating.

Bring poles if you use them. Thai Take-Away at the end to eat on 3 picnic benches in Witchell Meadow at about 7.30pm so bring cash / card for payment to the George and Dragon. (There is a bargain £7.50 Thai meal deal at the bottom of the menu for Sundays to Thursdays)
Due to a more limited quantity of parking in Hale Lane, we will travel in a smaller number of cars from the Witchell Pavillion car park to Hale Lane where there are a few rough roadside spaces.
