Overview

This winter-proof walk is on downland, tracks and country lanes, with a dry feet alternative at the end if the river Wylye has flooded. We head out of the village and up onto Hanging Langford Down, across to the beautiful Wylye Down Nature Reserve and on to Wylye village, before heading back to Steeple Langford along a lane and a riverside path if it is passable. A familiar area for our regular walkers but always worth a revisit. The café at the Langford Lakes Nature Reserve should be open for refreshments at the end of the walk if desired. Please bring food and drink for 2 stops.
