Overview

A leisurely walk around central Brighton taking in the quirky shopping streets, Brighton Pavilion, the Lanes, the elegant Regency architecture, St Anne’s Well and the esplanade which will bring us to Brighton Palace Pier. Here we will stop for a refreshment break in the Pier Court Café to await the starlings return to roost and hopefully a murmuration. From the pier it is a 45 minute walk back to the station.

If you are coming down for the day, there are plenty of pubs, restaurants, cafes and things to see near the station.

Thameslink sell the cheapest train tickets (dep Farringdon, Blackfriars, London Bridge etc).
