The walk starts from Mosedale bridge and up the front of Carrock Fell, threading a route above Buck Kirk before we reach the summit of Carrock Fell. After a soggy wander over Round Knott and Drygill Head we stop at Lingy Hut for some Christmas cheer. After a paddle at Gunner Well we will go over Coomb Height and down cocklakes and to the Caldew. If the water level is passable we'll cross over and follow Blackhazel Beck and then to the top of Bowscale Fell. The route back is a pleasant stroll down pass Bowscale Tarn to the finish
