We are the Northallerton Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This short pre dinner walk is mainly on tracks and paths though there is at least one muddy field. Approximately 6 stiles.
The route may change depending on weather conditions. From Clay Bank carpark we drop down into Broughton Plantation then go up Broughton Bank to the path crossing under the Wainstones. We then go south past Whingroves and up onto the edge of Cold Moor above Broadfield Farm. This is where we will have coffee. From here we go down to the main road (B1257) , across the footbridge and up the fields to Urra. Returning to Clay Bank via fields, woodland tracks and paths.
Poles may be useful in some the wooded valleys.
