Overview

Walk up Gibbet Hill then through village of Brentor returning via Wortha Mill. Open moorland, quiet lanes and paths across fields. As ever, if the weather is clear there will be great views throughout the walk.

Gradual climb up Gibbet Hill and other ups and downs, including a descent on a rocky path. Will be muddy and wet underfoot in places after rain.

Bring a warm drink and seating pad for our coffee stop. Dogs on lead.

Book by text to walk leader (no emails).

From Tavistock direction, turn left off A386 in Mary Tavy onto Brentor Road (left turn is by old coach parking currently fenced off). Drive along the road until you come to a lay-by on the left. Once the lay-by is full, there is roadside parking. Recommend car sharing if possible. If you are happy to offer a lift from Tavistock, let me know and I’ll try to coordinate this.
