Overview

This is a countryside walk offering wide valley and moorland views. We will walk on tracks, paths and roads, with muddy and boggy  patches in places.  From Edenfield we will head to Scout Moor (the wind turbine farm) via Bleakholt and will walk through part of Scout Moor via the Rossendale Way. Our route back to Ramsbottom is via the Plunge Valley and Edenfield. There are quite a few gradual ascents and descents, with a steep ridge path at one stretch where care will be required. We cross a number of busy roads where care will need to be taken.
