Overview

The route starting through Egton village, then along the Glaisdale road to the Mortuary Chapel, continues through fields NW to Westonby Farm, then N to Barton Howl. It continues, after crossing A171, N through Coquet Nook then a brief stretch of moorland to Biggin House. An old county road takes us W to Buscoe Farm, where we turn S along a quiet road to A171 at Lady Cross. The final section is through Lady Cross Plantation, skirting the Woodsmith Mine works, on to the Whitby-Egton road back to the car park.
