From the car park, we walk SW - back up the road towards Clay Bank car park, turning left to follow the track (approx SE) through Greenhow plantation, for approx 2 miles. We then walk down the bank to follow the lower track in the woods back to the car park. The tracks were dry on my recce, but they could be muddy in places if we've had rain beforehand.
The route is also undulating, with a walk up the hill on the road at the start, but it affords great views if the weather allows.
Circular walk of 4 miles. Assistance dogs only.
A pleasant walk through woodland in the evening. A challenging climb at the start to get the blood flowing and muscles working which we will take at your pace, followed by much more undulating route along tracks and paths.
