Scaling Dam (East End)

Crossing the moorland beside the car park, we follow the farm tracks S and E to High Tranmire and Tranmire Grange. Field paths take us to Pearson's Rigg and then E across moorland to the A171 which we cross to walk a little way along the Ugthorpe road. Turning N we follow the edge of Sheffield Moor and Newton Mulgrave Woods to cross the B1266. We continue W across Newton Mulgrave and Roxby Low Moors to Hailthorpe from which an unclassified road returns us to the car park.
