We are the Cleveland Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Circular walk approx 7.5 miles. Please note this walk has been changed from the information originally posted a few weeks ago.
We use a minor road and field paths to reach Moor Lane near the forestry car park. We ascend towards Square Corner (but not all the way) and then turn west on a forestry track. We follow forestry tracks through the plantation and descend gradually to Over Silton, visit the church (which is only accessible on foot) and then return to the start across fields.
There will be a ten minute break. Please feel free to bring a drink/snack to enjoy.
The walk includes short stretches on minor roads, field paths and forestry tracks which are generally good underfoot. There may be some muddy stretches after rain.
There may be livetock in fields, but no problems identified on the recce.
