Overview

From the car park we walk along the forest track for a short way.  Lovely views over to Cwmyoy and Cwm Iau.  There is a short ascent and a couple of styles to bring us up on to the top where we walk along the ridge to Garn Wen. We return via a different path and ascend the Iron age hill fort.  Should be lovely views throughout and especially from the hill fort.

Heading towards Llanthony, ignoring Road Closed signs (the road is closed after the turn to the car park), take the left immediately after the Queens Head pub, up a small steep lane. The car park is about a quarter of a mile up this lane on the right hand side.
