Starting from the front of the Halifax rail station we will walk up through the town and into the Piece Hall where you will have 45 to 60 minutes to explore the display in the Visitor Centre and the multiple small shops around the Hall. We will then make our way down through the town passing the bus station and over a number of main roads heading up out of Halifax towards Shibden Hall and Park. We walk up over the hill with views over Halifax one way and the Shibden valley the other. We will enter into the Shibden Park, go around and through the woods, passing the boating lake, arriving at a lovely cafe where we will stop for a picnic lunch (refreshments and toilets available). After lunch we will complete the tour of the Park and then retrace our steps back to the front of the railway station.
Pavements and good paths throughout.
